The Springdale Public Library has officially unveiled its new Springdale Room—now open to the public. I was honored to be part of the celebration, from the ribbon cutting on February 20th to the community gathering on March 14th.
As part of the festivities, I joined a round-table conversation alongside the architects and onsite construction manager, sharing the story behind the space and the collaborative process that brought it to life.
It was especially meaningful to see my installation, Where the Light Gathers, fully realized within the space—shaped not only by material and light, but by the intention behind the project itself.
What makes this work even more significant is the library’s commitment to public art—an investment not just in a building, but in the experience of the people who move through it. By prioritizing art as part of the space itself, the library creates moments of connection, reflection, and discovery that belong to everyone.
