Where the Light Gathers
Springdale Library 2025
Where the Light Gathers is a quiet conversation between daylight, material, and community. The work unfolds as eight light shelves of welded steel and fused glass, gently woven into the library’s architecture. As sunlight moves through the space, it filters through glass and decorative metal, casting shifting colors, shadows, and reflections that change subtly throughout the day. Neither fully inside nor outside, the work holds light in suspension, inviting readers and passersby into a shared moment of warmth, reflection, and belonging—where knowledge, like light, gathers and is freely given.
